vs Stirling (2010-05-12)

Games against Stirling usually prove hard to fulfil as the weather always seems to scupper them. When an earlier forecast was for snow things didn't  look great. However, the sun was out (briefly) and David inserted the hosts on winning the toss.Ben made an early breakthrough when the Stirling opener, played, missed and didn't bother returning to his crease.Jamie noticed this and threw down the stumps for a very cheap wicket.Hopefully for the batsman lesson learned.Batsmen 2&3 then had a partnership of 28,with Mcgarvie going on to retire for 31.Scoring though was slow against good bowling and keen fielding.David broke the partnership bowling no3.Ben got himself another wicket, aided by a great catch by Bilal.William struck for wicket no4.Jamie and Scott accounted for no5 with a run out.At the close of the innings,Stirling had made 74 for 5.

Jamie and Scott opened the reply to the Dunfermine innings in fine style.Scoring was brisk on a very fast outfield, with both players looking in good form and taking lots of singles which Stirling had not. These 2 were retired after 10 overs having put on an impressive 56.Jamie scored 15 and Scott 21.These 2 were replaced by David and Chris.Chris was quickly bowled,David was hitting the ball well and seemed disappointed to be retired for 9.Thomas and Holly then saw Dunfermline over the winning line with some 6 overs to spare.

Overall, best team performance of the season by far.Bowling was good, fielding only a couple of misses away from perfection and batting was very clinical.absolutely tremendous TEAM effort.
